I’m still really shocked by the fact that I like to get up early and walk.  When the alarm goes off, I have to admit I instantly think, “Oh crap, why am I doing this?”  But then I start thinking about how good I feel after and how much I enjoy seeing the dawn crack and that gets me moving.  I’ve got a light on my hat so I can see.  One time, had a big laugh when a skunk popped out.  I know I screamed and I’m pretty sure the skunk did too.  Lucky for me he didn’t spray!  Once my neighbor Karen joins me, we’re (usually mostly me) blabbing like crazy about the day before and the day ahead.  Sometimes we have long discussions about social issues and I love that because I always start out I’m so sure I’m right, but she has insights that make me realize I’m not, LOL.  No matter, the time flies and soon we’re checking our smartphone Runtastic apps to see how far we’ve gone. As I head back in to get some breakfast, I’m always amazed at how good I feel. I really do feel better.
