5-spice almonds

Here’s a recipe which was brought to our Breakfast Club nutrition class by Mary Newkirk!  It was delicious and a great choice for the holidays!

325 degrees for 20-25 minutes

Line a cookie sheet with brown paper and spray heavily with veg. Spray.

2 cups raw almonds
1 1/2 t. Water
3/4 c. Stevia
1/2 t. Cinnamon
1/8 t. Allspice
1/8 t. Ginger
1/8 t. Nutmeg
1/8 t. Ground cloves
1/2 t. Vanilla
1 large egg white

Beat egg white until frothy.  Add rest.  Stir to coat.  Spread nut mixture in a single layer on oil-coated paper.  Bake 20-25 minutes.  Cool 10 minutes before breaking apart.  Store at room temperature.
